Jerome Powell, the current Chairman of the Federal Reserve, is not affiliated with any political party. According to tradition, the Fed chair is a nonpartisan position, and it is important for the Fed to maintain its independence from political influence to effectively carry out its mandate of promoting price stability and maximum employment.

I have to admit, it's hard to pin him to one party or the other. Democrat Jerome Powell doesn't seem right, and Republican Jerome Powell doesn't feel appropriate either.
