Are Bollinger Bands Relevant? The band idea seems like it is inconsistent to me. Are people still using the Bollinger bands?

Bollinger bands are definitely still relevant, I know there are a lot of traders who still have them active on their charts for reference. I don't recommend trading specifically from the bands though. I don't have as much faith as others out there.

Bollinger bands calculate on previous data. They are a great lookback indicator. I would personally never try to time the market based on "Bollingers"

Using Bollinger bands for your trading makes you a guesser or a hoper.

I agree on the lag, I can't get any edge with Bollinger bands at all and I'm done with them.

Bollinger bands are a great concept, but I don't see any benefit in using them. That whole system just isn't responsive enough. Try them on any time frame, no time frame is better and no time frame is worse, it just doesn't matter.
