Stock market memes never cease to entertain me. Since they are usually shared and modified by random internet users, are they in the public domain? Is it legal and OK to duplicate and repost?

First of all, memes have made their way into every online venue, not just the stock market forums. Most fun you can have is making your own memes.

The square 700px by 700x is the most popular size.
The landscape version should be 700px by 550x.
The portrait version should be 450px by 700x.

You can use tons of photo editing programs to make funny stock market memes or any topic you want. And incidentally, social platforms like facebook and X will resize your memes to fit their format anyway so some people make them 1000px by 1000px to be safe

Seems like it is legal to repost memes but I'm not a lawyer so you better do your homework

1080 x 1080 pixels is a good rule of thumb. The platforms where they appear will resize them. They can be saves as .jpg or .png files, and if you want to animate them they need to be .gif

And as for sharing them? Be mindful of copyright...so avoid using copyrighted images or content in your memes without proper permission or licensing. And sharing someone else's copyright violation doesn't make it right either, so it's best to avoid that illegal meme scenario all together.

Memes are widely shared and they are more popular than ever so I don't see how they could be copyrighted. The whole point behind these things is to share them.

Everybody is violating copyright laws? I don't agree with that. I don't think anybody cares if you share a meme
