Thinkorswim mobile studies are limited in terms of functionality versus the desktop studies.

Looking for some examples of thinkorswim mobile studies that work on the TOS app, or any information about features that work or don't work on the app.

I too have been disappointed with the limitations on the TOS mobile studies. TOS is vague on the functionality if you try to research it on their site.

Done lots or reading on the subject of Thinkscript mobile limitations and found a mix of info. No centralized instruction that I could locate.

Some items known to have issues on the Apple and Android apps are: Using Different Time Aggregations, the Bubbles, Labels won't work, Plots between days don't work, and the extension area also won't function. It seems the complex the function, the less likely it will work.

The app may not live up to the power of a desktop PC just because of hardware, RAM, processor, etc.

I've played with a lot of the Thinkscript mobile studies and had limited success. The desktop version is miles ahead. If you want to day trade, use desktop power and speed and thinkscript is an amazing product from TOS. Mobile version? not bad but not too good either.

I am going to post some of my experience with specific TOS mobile studies in separate threads here. I will try to detail my experience with these things, maybe somebody else can add to my version of success and failure

TOS desktop app is awesome, the mobile app need an overhaul primarily to support the studies, not sure why they can't improve it but it hasn't been happening recently, when they update the app it's usually some incidental and never a major overhaul

There may be a number of reasons why ThinkorSwim has not made significant improvements to its mobile app.

One possible reason is that the mobile app may not be a top priority for the company, as many traders and investors prefer to use the desktop version of the platform for its more advanced features and tools. While the mobile app can be useful for accessing account information and making basic trades, it may not have the full functionality that some users are looking for.

Another factor may be the technical challenges involved in developing a mobile app that can match the performance and capabilities of the desktop platform. The mobile app may be limited by factors such as screen size, processing power, and network connectivity, which can make it difficult to provide the same level of functionality and speed as the desktop version.

Mostly, the decision to invest in improving the mobile app will depend on a number of factors, including user feedback, market demand, and the company's resources and priorities. While it may not be the most robust platform for advanced trading, the ThinkorSwim mobile app can still be a useful tool for investors who want to stay connected to their accounts on the go.
